On Jan. 31, 2019, BUILD faculty mentors, peer mentors and student scholars across the country celebrated National Thank Your Mentor Day on social media with #MyBUILDmentor. This was the second #MyBUILDmentor campaign coordinated by communications staff across 10 BUILD campuses part of the Diversity Program Consortium (DPC). Mentors and mentees alike were prompted to share about what they learned from mentoring, their favorite part about mentoring and the kinds of personal strengths that mentoring has brought out in them. Throughout the day, dozens of images posted across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram showed off the vibrant, dynamic and transformative mentoring culture fostered through the National Institutes of Health’s BUILD initiative.
